I was required to design my own tableware collection that includes a placemat, a dinner plate, cutlery, a napkin and a cup, which was the hands-on component of this project. I had a choice to design everything else digitally or make realistic creations of my sketches, so I chose to create them in Illustrator. 

 

My designs encompassed a fanciful, slightly gothic-punk atmosphere with lots of floral  - in particular roses and nature embellishments and skull motifs. I decide to use a minimal amount
of colour because I wanted to balance out my designs so none of the elements take away any beauty from the others. I also designed a skull ring to wrap around the napkin.
